Hospitals and clinics throughout Mississippi face a growing need to support senior citizens with legal needs or general support questions. As the number of seniors age 60+ continues to increase statewide, and with rural areas facing a higher level of poverty than urban counterparts, the need for legal services and support resources for these low-income senior citizens is growing by the day.
The MRHA has identified this need and started an in-house Rural Mississippi Senior Support Center. This Center is available for any senior citizen who falls less than 200% of the federal poverty level to access. We will gather information from the client and pass it along to a network of professional resources and/or in-state attorneys who have agreed to provide legal services at no cost.
We can help with:
- VA and Medicare questions
- Wills and trusts
- Medical power of attorney
- and more…
