MCO Letters of Intent

The Mississippi Division of Medicaid will release its 2017 RFP for the Medicaid Managed Care contracts.  Currently Association partners United Healthcare and Magnolia Health Plan have two of the three spots created by the Mississippi legislature.  Several new organizations have expressed interest in applying for the state MCO contracts.

To prepare for their application, they must show network adaquacy through supply of ‘letters of intent.’  These non-binding letters are simply to show that providers have the desire to work with these organizations if they are approved as a new MCO.  This does not commit a provider to anything, but it assist these organizations in showing that they can properly meet Medicaid demands for statewide support.

If you would like to work with one of the proposed MCOs, please complete and return the respective Letter of Intent to the address requested.
